Dear sir,
I like the way you think.

I do believe you mean “Dear Ralph.”

Ugh. No. Doesn’t fit the character of Alfa, at all. Just like the GM V6s they used in the 159 were a major step down from the Alfa V6s they used before. I know, power, reliability and all that stuff. That’s just not what you buy an Alfa for. You don’t put a hemi in a Ferrari either.

Why not the V6 off Maserati’s Ghibli?
It’s lighter (probably) and packs a punch (330 to 410 HP from factory). I know it’s a twin-turbo and that adds complications... buuut I like it. That or some other V6 or V8 from Alfa’s cousins.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Infernogatto

But Italians love them some MOPAR power.

Don’t we all, but not in an Alfa Romeo.

It’s better.

FYI this is a french Facel Vega. Italians are more into GM and Ford POWER.

Better than what?

That V6 is none other then Chrysler’s 3.6L they stick in everything. Maserati turbocharges it and does some head work.

No. All the nopes.

*French - They were just happy to have something that wasn’t on strike.

You called? Oh wait Marchionne not me.

I’d like to know where you read that because Maserati doesn’t use the Pentastar. The Ghibli has a 3.0L V6 designed by Ferrari. Chrysler casts the engine blocks for them then sends them to Modena where Ferrari assembles the rest of it.

Hey Sergio! We gotta get us out of here!

no! Way too much weight in the front end, messing w/ dat perfect 50/50 they have going for them. Seriously, iron block and that supercharger weighs over 100lbs too.

No.
It’s not that type of car. I mean for a 1 off sema deal sure. But production wise? Nee-op.
Now, maybe toss that engine into something like this....

That's just a Viper.

Heh, stupid me. I should have searched a little.
Potenza Italiana!

Ok fine, I stretched the truth a little. The 3.0 is based on the architecture of the pentastar, so Ferrari didn’t design it from scratch.

Yeah, but the hell cat engine would be better suited in this than the Giulia
